hi all.
just bought my first Volvo, and what a car. Should have had one a long time ago. What i would like to know is what the different colour wires mean on the wiring loom for the radio. I would like to wire in a TV screen as well as a cd player but is does not just plug in like the looms do and i have to splice into the aftersales loom. |

First off, have you ever installed any aftermarket audio/video accesories before?
You can't just wire in a TV screen and expect it to play dvd's from the stock head unit. What you can do is go buy a new head unit with a built in dvd player/screen. This will allow for what you are talking about. You will need a harness for the wires, and then expect to splice that harness to the head units harness. Don't worry there's plenty of room behind the head unit. You'll also need to install a pocket under the HU or you can buy a 2 DIN HU. If you need anymroe help I'll be glad to help you out. I own a 2000 V40 and I just finished putting a system in it. |
