Drives: 1996 Volvo S40 1,8L Petrol, Manual transm.
Hey guys!

My 96 s40 is having a problem with its hood. The handle for poping the hood doest do anything anymore.
It seems the wire is broken or jumped out of its place. (this might have happened when I drove of a 30cm edge by accident and the bottom of the car hit the edge.)

So i need to open it to see if I can repair it and to refill the "cleaning fluid" (whats the correct english term here?)

From what i have read there is more than the latch behind the grill that must be opened. Has anyone some tips for me?

Try removing the wheel arch lining on the side where the release is and pull the cable from there.
