The car will start up without issues every now and then. Usually, I crank it but it doesn't start. I can do this many times without it starting. About the time I start thinking about finding my AAA car, I turn the key and it starts up without a problem. I do have a code that comes up on the obd2 scanner of P1550. My ABS light has been on for a long time too and the brake light comes on sometimes. Has anyone out there had this problem? I changed the spark plugs but I don't think it helped the situation. When this thing does finally start, it runs like the wind!

That is a generic fault code. I am only firmiliar with volvo codes. what system does it pertain to? You may be having a fuel pump problem. This is a somewhat common problem on the s80. The ABS light is likly due to a failing ABS control module another common problem. sometimes the brake light will come on and off due to low brake fluid level.
