I'm attempting to hardwire a radar detector to my '96 960. I have purchased the kit that Escort sells with their 9500i, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to go about this. Thanks in advance.

Is the kit you purchased with the radar detector a hardwiring kit? If not then take apart the cigarette plug and see if it's just a fuse inside. If its a fuse then just hook the power wire to a 12v source and other to ground.
