Hi,
I just bought my first Volvo. It's a V40 1.8 petrol 1997. I've been through it to iron out minor problems but one I can't sort is a problem I think with the starter motor. When I start it, sometimes, it sounds as though the starter motor is just spinning and not catching. It sounds as though it needs replacing or reconditioning. After a few tries it eventually grips and starts the engine but I'd be afraid eventually it will just stop starting altogether! Is my assumption correct, and if so is this a relatively easy job or will it cost me a small fortune? :liebe011: :57:
