Hi I am new here, but I had some photos from this summer, This accident scene was why I decided to come back to Volvo.

I was sitting in my 05 TSX I had just purchased less than 2 month previously making phone calls after a business meeting.

I next heard a lot of screeching and looked to my right just in time to see a crunched Audi coming very close to my car with all air bags deployed.
Here is an outline of the car positions their intended directions in green and their resulting directions in red and a circle showing where they ended up.
The T5 was bombing down the road according to witnesses.
He barely grazed the TSX, but it still cost $1K to get it repaired.

I then saw rolling towards the back of my car a very crunched S70 T5. (couldn't tell from the front at the time)

Here are the results of the crash.

Both the Audi driver and the Volvo driver could walk but got rides to hospital for review. I do know the Volvo driver only sustained a broken wrist (probably from when the steering wheed got wrenched) I checked and noted the front seat leg areas were intact and the drivers door opened fine on the T5.

Damn. that is what is called lucky. and, the volvo driver got a broken wrist, i would have waited until it healed and then broke the other one for what he did to my car. that was no graze. a graze is when the clear coat isn't even broken, that was a hit.

I think the guy got the book thrown at him, The people in the Audi were pretty well connected to the DA's office and he was toast with all the eye witnesses.
I wish I knew where the T5 ended up though, looks like there were a good selection of parts available on it.

I was JUST about to ask you if the brake rotors (disc) and caliper were salvageable. The S70T5 run on 302mm i think. Damn hard to get here.

just shows ... all that power under the hood ... couple it with an **** driver (probably lacking in experience) and bang. Those sort of crashes happen every day here with new drivers just passed they're test driving mummy/daddy 's car or a car that was bought from them.

Someone the other day who i drove past, hours after i drove past them, on the way back, same stretch of road - new driver, crashed straight into a lamp post. no other cars involved. it is a fast road and bumpy in places so one can only imagine ...

hey bro ,the first recorded car accident in ny was a car hitting a lamppost while it was the only car in the city at the moment. i think it was 1908, or something like that. the only car in the city and you hit the lamppost. and i am sure that was the first excuse to the cops telling them it was the other guys fault and that he drove away. unbelievable

i know this is completly off topic but that reminded me of something. me and some friends were out on a boat in Lake Washington and it was a good miles or more across. and my friend was driving it and he managed to hit one of the only buey(spell?) within eyesight in a mile wide lake lol.

but about the topic, thats a pretty bad crash to walk away from. i've seen other volvo crash pics and its crazy. especially the volvo 850 crash on youtube...
