hi gang well im baffeled on this one,i just did a tune up on my 93 940wagon and put in a new fire trap or pvc valve new pluges,cap.rotor,and wires.i notice that the fireing order that was on the car was odd it was 4312 and i know it should be 1342. when i put the wires in the right sopt it would not start i put them back the way they were and started right up and ran ok but it somtimes shackes.can sombody tell me whats up with this.the car is in verry good shap with only 136,000 on her thanks for eny help :liebe011:

ok i did put them in the right spot on the cap 1342 and on the block 1234 as 1 being the 1st one closest to the front of the car it started but ran very bad put it back to the way it was 4312 and runs ok ???? could the timing be way off the person that i bought it from had a timing belt and water pump put on this is my fourth volvo and im realy baffeld on this i know it should not run the way the firing order is now. thanks for all your help

The bosch system with the distributor mounted at the back of the head uses the firing order 4-3-1-2, The other firing order your thinking of is for block mounted distributors

thanks so it is right even though i have a regina coil and set up but its just strang that mu 740 that i had the firing order on it was 1342 and had the same motor in it but it just seems off beat that is 4312 but ishe runs fine thanks gang for all the help
