It should be listed right on the face of the radio. HU***. The only difference being the three numbers.

A s40 does not have a radio as such. The part that plays cds and holds the intigrated tuner is called a IAM. This is not the screen in the dash that shows your climate settings or radio station but is fitted behind and is a seperate unit. Why do you need to know your radio model?

As an addition to the question posted:-
Does anyone know of an aftermarket radio that will fit the 07 S40? I have the stock normal radio CD but want a multi CD and MP3 player. Does the upgraded model work if I buy one?

Thanks.

Due to the fiberoptic network, it's not really possible to put an A.M. stereo unless you're ready to do some major wiring and relocating. However, it is possible to get a replacement MPM(media player-module) from volvo with 6 disc changer and MP3 support. It will cost you more, but there's nothing like having an original top of the line equipment. CHeck out their website for more info.

Rushin, could you please explain a little more about this replacement "MPM"? I've never heard of anything like this being a possibility on a 2006. Where on their website would I find this?

Thanks

check out this link, scroll to the integrated 6cd changer +mp3/wma support. You might want to ask you dealer for a price quote for installation. http://www.volvocars.us/models/Accessories/S40/

Hey guys,

I mainly joined the forum because of this topic and what I found later on. Im on the same damn page as the rest of you. I purchased the S40 2.4i last sunday and I love everything about the car. Even the stereo sounds nice, but I would like my sound system added on from my previous car added into this one. I found this site which claims to have 7 receivers that fit the damn car with the install kit and everything. The customer service number is at the very top. But some dumb kid was the one providing the tech support LoL. He just recommended to have a pro do it. Im looking further into it but I thought it would be fair to share. Enjoy guys!
