New here. I'm considering buying a V40 to transport my wife's guitar amp around. I've looked on sites with specifications on them, but can't quite find the specific info I'm after about how big the boot is.

The amp is 48 inches long, 26 wide and 16 deep. My question is, is it possible to fit something of those dimensions in the boot of a V40 without putting all of the back seats down?

Hi Nick

The V40 boot is not the best for load storage and you would have to remove the parcel shelf and lower the back seats to fit the amp in. It will then go in lengthways. That said, it is only a matter of seconds to do this operation.

Except when you try to raise the seat part of the back seat, the fabric catches on the hook. I took it to the dealer and he yanked it loose, but tore the fabric. Then patched it with duct tape. Looks terrible when I am traveling and have both back seats down to hold my luggage and walker.

Dealer now says they didn't do it.

Ho Hum.
