I have a 2004 S80 and got a flat right rear tire yesterday evening. When I went to change it today, I followed the normal procedure. Once I got all the lug nuts removed and tried to pull off the tire, the tire will not come off as if it is locked into place. It won't budge at all. Is there some sort of lock or security feature that releases the tire? Any help is most appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

I do not think there is a some sort of locking on the wheel, but once I had the same problem with a flat tire (on a MPV) and the wheel was removed using a lot of force, you can try and use a hammer to hit the tire (do not hit the rimm).

Welcome. Replace the lugnuts on to the wheel again. do not tighten too much, lower it until some of the weight is resting on it and then jack it up again. it should do the trick. sometimes the rim will stick to the hub and you need to help it along. the cause, I think, is the differences in the metal alloy and it just wants to hang out together. of course, those are laymans terms, knowwhatimean?

Yeh the hibs rust and lock them up, just wind one bolt on a few threads and belt the tyre and it should pop free.
