Hi All,
Wondering if anyone else experiences this problem When the car is cold , ie early morning i get loads of smoke coming out the the exhaust. I've seen other V40's at this time of morning with a similar amount.

Is there anything that is causing this or anything i could do to try and reduce it?

how long do you let it warm up? how long before it stops smoking? you say you see other v40 doing the same thing early in morning, maybe all the cars you see are doing this also? it might be that you didn't warm up the engine long enough. it happens to mine here in New York when the temperature falls past a certain point, once it warms up to operating temperature, it stops.

Hi I think most v40's do this as i know mine does especially in cold conditions and living in scotland means very cold mornings. so don't worry about it! :) :)
