Hi all,
Long time reader first time poster here. I don't really know what to search for to find this out so I figured I would post. I have a 2002 s60, which I love, but ever since I bought the car I have been wondering about 2 things. First off, what is that big speaker looking thing in the middle of the dash. I know its not air, and I know it's not a speaker, so what is it? Second, on my rear bumper, bottom right side, there is a panel, I opened the panel, and I see a small tube. No idea what this is for either. I asked a mechanic friend of mine and he didnt know what either was for. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks!

Sam

That area on the dash is where they have the Sat Nav display popping up from.

But if you dont have Sat Nav I believe some models are fitted with a central speaker - could be wrong though ?

The hole in the bumper is probably where you screw in the towing eye - there is a cover on the front too.

It is a central speaker.

I thought that they wouldn't include the central mount if the high end system isn't purchased.

Join the club Damoto - Do you mean you are missing the actual 'screw-in' towing eye or the cover on the bumper ?

Volvo sell the towing eye for around £20 I think and I haven't found anywhere else to get one - even cars that are breaking seem to have lost them.
