For the last 2 weeks I have been using step 3 of the Michelin tire & wheel cleaning system Michelin Tire Cleaning System. So far it seems to really cut down on the amount of brake dust buildup. The service manager at Volvo of Louisville (Kentucky) told me about it. I paid $5.99 USD at Autozone. Easy to use too. Just clean, dry, spray on and wipe off.

Thanks for the link.

Michelin™ Brake Dust Repellent
Brake dust, the soot generated by brake pads as they wear, isn’t just ugly. It can cause permanent damage if left on wheels too long.

Confirms the view of the horror's of brake dust.

Wax also works well as a dust repellent. I can also recommend ceramic brake pads, that keeps brake dust down and any brake dust generated are not the sticky hard to wash OEM ones.

I'll be calling my local Michelin supplier but I am not hopeful.

:cat: Hi there Poopbunny.

Sorry I haven't caught up with your for a while-like I have been seriously busy.

If you manage to track down a supplier for the tyre cleaner-would you be kind enough to let me know please?

I am looking for a good to excellent tyre cleaner.

Cheers :right:
