hi there, i want to see if it is ok to use h7 100w daytime bulbs in my 2001 s40 instead of the h7 55w. i do a lot of night driving and more light on the road would be great, but dont want to have to call fire service !!!!
ps... anyone out there know a good bulb...that does look like xenon...i.e. it does what it says on the pack..
thanks lads....

Check out the mods in my garage.

I am using a 5800k white (pure daylight white is around 6500k) H7 55W I bought on ebay and they seem to do a good job. It fooled one of my friends into thinking they were HID xenons.

One of them lasted for more than 12 months before blowing, the other 3 have not blown yet.

Go on ebay and do a search for H7 55W. 6000K should also be good. 8000k up may be too blue and not legal in some states/countries.

55W was ample for me, if I needed more light I would use the high beam.

Don't know about 100W.

If you go above 55w you're probably gonna get a bulb failure message.
