Hi there all

Anyone able to advise or anyone had the same problem.

My 99 V40 appears to have lost the ability to arm the alarm. It locks with the remote as normal - but the red interior LED light on the dash stays on all the time. It's supposed to flash I'm sure.

I looked through the handbook loads and found nothing - then I seem to remember I've seen it that when it stays lit like this it means the rear tailgate is open.

But, if it was open, the car won't lock, so it can't be that.

There are two sets of wires that go to the rear locking mechanism too. I think one may be for the alarm and the other for the central locking ???

Any ideas at all ???
