Sorry to be a nuisance, but would someone mind giving me an extremely simple description (if this is at all possible) of how to change the bulb in one of the headlamps. Including what bulb I need etc. I am determined to do it myself no matter what it takes!

OK lets see what my book says, first raise the headlights by switching on the ignition, raising the lightsrelease the bonnet and then switch off the ignition and main beam. remove the sidelight cluster, then depress two clips and tilt the headlight to remove it from the front panel, remove the rubber cap and ease the wiring from behind the bulb holder release the spring clip and pivot it down, disconnect the wires and remove the bulb.

thank you!! I am currently trying now... I clearly need something with pictures as there are no obvious 'two clips' that can be depressed! Can you shed any more light - otherwise I think I might have to get a Haynes manual!

y I cant enlighten any further as i only have the 440, and I was just quoting from the manual.

Hi, Im sure you have done this at this stage, but incase you havent, unscrew the plastic backing on the back of the headlamp (you will see this when you open the hood)...Flip back metal clip/lever....looks a bit like opener on bottle of Grolsch.... the light, wiring and backing are attached all in one, unplug the bilb (12v), pop in the new one (€4), pop back on the light backing, bobs your uncle,

That sounds like the instructions for the standard 440/460, the 480 has pop up lights, which make the process a bit more tricky.
