Hello gang,
I have searched this forum for threads on replacing the shocks on a C70 convertible and so far the what I have found is for the coupe only. I have removed the carpet in the trunk and barely get my hand on the top of nut for the right had side shock but the left hand side shock I block by an unknown item. I am thinking that maybe they are access from above by removing the covering of the ROPPS device. I called the dealer and they said to by removing the inner fender liner which was incorrect.
Has anyone done this?

I have not replaced them yet but my local Volvo shop told me that you have to take out the rear seats . Once I do it I will supply photos and instructions

Hi Owen,

Just came across this post: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=82904

As you can see from one of the pictures, you have to remove the backseat AND the rear sub speakers  to get to the shocks...amazing...
This is the pic: http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e29/trip..._0218Custom.jpg where you can see the rear shock "hiding out"....
