Looking to buy one door speaker (8" woofer w/ separate 3" tweeter) for an S60R with the Premium sound system. Out of the Volvo OEM online parts suppliers I know of, VLVworld is the only one I can find with them & they're asking $360.....therefore I'm afraid to contact my local volvo dealer for their price. Anyone know of other sites or sources? I'll take a used one, too....as long as it's not blown, of course.

Thanks,
Kenny

Try Volvo Orange County CA.

There may be the odd part that may be cheaper from them. Possibly not that big a difference in the USA, but no harm inquiring.

I bought my foglight kits from them for US$135.

My local dealer wanted at least NZ$815 (US$600) for them.

i'm wondering if you wouldn't be better of going with aftermarket. I'm new to the volvo world but not car audio. Does anyone know what the impedance of the speakers are and possibly the crossover points?

if we have that info we could get you some speakers that should work well at a fraction of the cost. Maybe a seas 8" woofer and tweeter combo or if you want to spend even less maybe a dayton woofer with the seas tweeter or a large format alternative. there is little doubt in my head that a seas driver would be leagues above volvo oems
