my name is James and I live in Queensland Australia. I brought my Volvo S90 from Sydney for $10800 Aus. I have a few little issues with my Volvo S90 1998. I love my Volvo and it drives as if it were new. Although I am puzzeled at why the rear (door) speakers and the dashboard speakers do not work. I do not know if they are connected to the sound system, although I took the took the speaker grille off for the rear speakers and they looked to be connected. The "fader" lever on the sound system that controls the front and rear speakers is balanced. I moved the fader lever so only the rear speakers would only work but there was no sound. I blasted the sound but still there was no sound. So effectively only the front door speakers are working only 2 speakers out of 6. Another issue is that I was quoted by Volvo Melbourne that a steering rack for a Volvo S90 would be $999 Australian, imported from Sweden. I have been trying to look for a steering rack elsewhere. I want to know if anyone could help me in finding a quality used or new rack (remembering it has to be for a right hand drive, [Australia].) I am also going to update the original 7 hole alloy wheels with 20 spoke Volvo S90 alloy wheels that are seen on the Volvo S90 Royal Hermes. I may be posting quite reguarly as I seem to encounter only small problems that most time need specialist advice on. And another problem is that in the morning when I start the car up and stop it sometimes the car will not even turn over, all the dash lights will show (like normal) but I do not no either what that is.

I'd take the radio out and check the connections in the back. If that's not the problem it sounds like you have some broken wires somewhere in the car. You have 10 speakers, so there are alot of wires!
The radio comes out easily. Just pull the two little handle things and pull the radio out.
