hi i posted this in general and got no reply.....Hello Wonderful Volvo owners....I heard a clicking coming from the right side of the engine compartment and then my alarm system maintenance indicator came on.......I just wanted to know if this is common....Thanks

You probably need a new siren. This is very common for these cars. to verify roll down the drivers window and lock the car with the remote. Wait about a minute then open the door from the inside handle. If the siren doesn't sound its bad a needs to be replaced
