wow. should check this more often. well i got to milton keynes most sunday afternoons as there's a weekly meet there that's sadly devoid of volvos. it's at the ice hocky stadium. maybe meet in towcester and drive together convoy. either that or there's a lovely pub here in rugby called the merchant that sells real cask ales. any other ideas? maybe a trip to shakespere drag strip?

I was going to mention that shakes place, couldn't remember the name lol, or even somewhere in between such as somewhere like Birmingham?

Never been to anything like this before so i am going to show my ignorance and ask "What do you do at a meet"? Got an image in my head of standing round,bonnet up and talking Volvo,s :)

at a meet you do look under bonnets and talk volvo but it's a chance to socialise and have a laugh. plus means you're able to dive into a car if it rains! and youcan catch up with news and see if anyone's done a mod you like. basically a big socialise session.

well I am off Uni now for the holiday, when is best for everyone else?

any saturday or sunday afternoon's good for me. where are we gonna do this? i know plenty of places in rugby and coventry but not out of the area. apart from milton keynes of course.

Mong, Coventry/Rugby seems pretty central for everyone.Just say a date and time to start the ball rolling and see how many can make it :)

right. since i'm lazy i'll say junction 1 shopping centre in rugby. easy to find. just take j1 off the m6 and follow the leicester road until you see the big j1 sign on the left. how about sunday afternoons around 4pm? there's a mcdonalds and kfc so if we meet up opposite mc donalds. can't miss it.

Next Sunday will be the best day for me, although to get to rugby from wolverhampton is nearly 60 miles, if so how about 3pm?

Right peeps little update

I`ve been over to the pye wipe for a recce today and for sunday dinner

It`s a cracking place with 2 large carparks

Situated right next to the main lincoln navigation canal

Also plenty of space for kids and dogs should you wish to bring your pets along

Proposed venue is: PYE WIPE INN , SAXILBY ROAD , LINCOLN , LN1 2BG
Directions update

A46 lincoln bypass to the carholme r/bout then head off for saxilby follow road for about 1 mile and as you come out of a sweeping left hander the road straightens up on the left is a large farm complex set back in the fields and just after this is the little single track road that leads to the pye wipe inn there is a sign for the pub but it`s partly obscured by the hedgerow and several large trees at the entrance so careful as you need to turn sharp left here to go down the road and follow it for another 3/4 mile passing back under the A46 and the pub is on the right as you come from under the bridge

Main carpark is straight on

Second car park is just before the pub sign on the right

OH AND WATCH FOR THE SPEED HUMPS THEY ARE LARGE AND HIGH 7 OF THEM ALTOGETHER

If it is going to be held in Lincoln unfortunately I'll have to skip it.

with my low profile tyres and bodykit it may be interesting to get in there. if i actually work out how to get there from rugby i'll go :blush:
