My 850 has had it's ABS light on for about 3 years and our local car repair guy couldn't get it to turn off because his diagnostics computer didn't have the proper codes for the computer in my car. I don't know if there is something to do to the system directly (under the hood), but I am really getting tired of seeing it.

I am also preparing to change the bulbs in the radio, climate control panel, right side of the gear selector (heated seat symbol light is out and then some), far right side of the dashboard, and the clock/thermometer. That's for this week/end.

That brings to mind that recent recall I recieved from Volvo about the seat coils for heat. It states that if too much pressure is applied to it, while on, it will short and catch on fire.

If anyone can give me suggestions or whatever, that'd be nice

Also, how much do those bulbs for the dashboard and related cost? How about the cost for replacing/repairing the seat recall?

P.S. According to the pic, I may have a leak around the oil cap seal...

For the ABS, you NEED to read the codes first and go from there. Troubleshooting without first looking at the code MAY get you to change unnecessarily, hence seem costly for ownership.

On the oil leak, yes, check the cap's oil seal first (it's cheap), and clean the area - if it comes back, it would be easier to narrow down the culprit.
