Does anybody know of a resource that shows which head units work with which model cars? If one doesn't exist, maybe we can use this thread to start that list?

I just purchased a 96 960 and would like to change out the headunit with something a little better, but i would prefer not to go aftermarket. My condo complex is a haven for stereo thefts and I would rather keep the stock look.

I have read that many radios aren't compatible with certain models, but i don't understand why? Aren't the radio connections "basically" the same (i don't mean the plugs, i mean the types of wires, ground, +, light, accessory, etc). Even if a newer volvo radio had different connections, couldn't somebody just splice the wires and get them to mate?
