I bought a XC90 without navigation. I tried to find the Volvo navigation oline and install it myself. But I have problem finding one. Is Volvo navigation only avaliable to purchase through Volvo dealer? Or anyone know where I can buy a complete system?

Thanks,
-Warren

Warren,

I installed a Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my XC-90. If you want to know how to do this just let me know.

Hello,

I'm planning on getting XC90 (2004-2005) next month and I'm planning on adding Avic-n4. After reading all posts about possible problems with Climate Controls and completely different (optical) wiring, I'm kind of scared to make any mods to XC90.
If you don't mind, can you tell me how you added Avic N1 to your car.

Thank you so much in advance!!!

try vandsautodismantlers.com Derek and the boys will try and find whatever you are looking for. good luck. when all else fails, go for aftermarket. try crutchfield for a direct replacement unit.

Myswedishparts carries the factory navigation system for the XC90 if you want a new one. Compare their price to that of your Volvo dealer to see which is cheaper. Never priced one before so I do not know what it should cost.

I have a 2006 XC 90 without factory navigation. I recently bought a Ford Escape Hybrid also without Navigation, because of the additional cost of GPS . So I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 200W 4.3 inch portable GPS Navigator, and a Bracketron Nav-Mat from Amazon that I can use among three vehicles. It works great, easy to set-up,and fits very easily on the dash (not on the windshield). Total cost of $240.

totally agree that garmin or tomtom is way to go. factory fit sat nav is great but if you already got your car and sat nav not in it why pay megabucks for it?.
