I am a resident of north Florida and I was wondering what parts I will need for the 2.3 liter 940 motor timing job. It has 270,000 miles runs, good but I am starting to get paranoid about it.Thanks!!!!

All you need is the belt. But... While you are in there, you might as well change the Water Pump and Timing belt pulley if you don't know when they were changed last. A local Volvo mechanic changes the pulley every 150k, where I have seen one fail at less then 100k. So, I change them every 100k. What you will need is an 'impact wrench' to remove the crankshaft bolt without the engine spinning around when you are trying to remove it. Of course, most impact wrenches are air powered (some are now electric).

Good luck and please realize that most belts you buy now have white lines on them that line up with the pulley marks. That makes things a bit more simple when you do the job. IIRC, I paid about $70 for a 'Gates' brand timing belt and pulley set.
