I have a 1997 S90 that has developed an intermittent starting problem.
The dash lights and related electrical systems come on with the key and the starter can be heard to click once each time you turn to the start position, however the starter does not engage.
We have had the battery checked, the starter replaced (twice) and the wiring checked.
When the car is at the shop it performs flawlessly. However when I am using it, it will go for a few days and then the problem starts again.
It does not seem to matter if it is hot or cold, the battery is good (12+ volts), we have looked for voltage drops in the main starter connections, but we seem to be unable to cause or isolate the problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
