I wanted to get bluetooth in my car but i found it to be very expensive. I wat the one that goes through all the speakers. My uncle a volvo salesman says it costs a *** load to get it wired. Are there any alteratives to my need for bluetooth?

Hi I realise that its not quite what you describe, but many satnav units include bluetooth connections to a mobile. They feature voice dialling etc.. I use a garmin nuvi 610 and it works very well with all the phones I have used. The sound comes out of the satnav unit but works fine. Might be a less costly alternative.

I would call around to different dealers and ask for an estimate for installation. I had my Parrot Bluetooth system (that I bought from the dealer) installed at a dealership in Italy, and they only charged me an hour of labor—about 45 Euro ($60 US). Boston Volvo sells the OEM kits for between $300-$400, depending on whether you have the premium or the standard sound system ( http://parts.bostonvolvo.com/home.php?cat=287 ). You could always buy the kit from them, and then have it installed at the dealership that gives you the lowest installation estimate.
