ok so i went to the junkyard and got a neutral safety switch but i had to follow the wires back to find where it plugs in, cutting the interior carpet to find the hookup, which isnt very reachable from the shifter, and i dont want to have to cut up my carpet to fix this problem as .. honestly that would make my car look like complete hell, if anyone has an idea (im sure someones done it before) id appreciate suggestions. thanks -tim

okay so ... i'd like to change my question. so i plugged in the neutral switch i got from the junk yard ( a 245 1991 wagon) into my car (1989 244 sedan) and still no reverse lights, but other wise i can start her up in P and N ... did i get a switch with the same issues or... is it likely that theres another problem with my car? any suggestions?
