I am going to do an HID upgrade with 3k kit for the fogs and 5k for the headlights.
The low beam install looks straight forward, as for the fogs I have been looking on the forums and have not found a post yet about fitting HIDs in them. They are projectors in the C70 so they should be great once set up. I have a few questions about how to do this,

From the car manual it says they are H1 but when I was under the car yesterday checking them out there is a sticker on the housing that says H3. So H1 or H3?

Also it looks like I need to unbolt the bracket that holds the projectors to the bumper and unplug them to remove the whole housing, from what I could see with it attached I could not tell how to open it up to get at the bulbs. If you could share any info you have on how you modified yours for HID that would be a great help.
While I have the fog lights out I need to polish the glass lenses because they are all scratched up from road junk and not too clear, is there just a glass polish/compound I can pick up at the hardware store?

Too much conflicting info on bulb choices. A post on another forum states the manual is incorrectly labeled and takes an H3 bulb. Just remove to find out for certain. If just replacing the bulb, back of housing looks like it either unscrews or unsnaps. This would have to be the case, you would not insert a new bulb thru the glass side. Removing the whole assembly would allow you to do the rest of your mods. Not sure if this helps,GL.

Thanks for the heads up on this. After checking the manual and the sylvania bulb selector web site I ordered my HID kits including a H1 for the fogs, after seeing your post I called two dealerships and they checked their computers got the part number then went and checked the acual box and the bulbs are infact h3! Which would match with the h3 sticker I saw on the housing. I have to go out and buy a socket set after work as I usually use my fathers but live too far away now :(

Has anyone put the HIDs in their fogs?

Hi, so it is in fact a H3? But you ordered the H1!! I plan on changing the fogs with HID also and I also want to angle them a little up as the factory setting was too low. Anyone know how to do that? I was looking but All I saw was the white knob where I could place a coin to turn, was that the control for pointing the fog light up/down?? Thanks

That is the adjustment Franky. If you need to remove the light it is two 8mm bolts on the light bracket connected to the bumper. Unplug the harness, now the light is removed.
