Here is one. There is a noise coming from the front end of the car when it is moving. Almost sounds like squeaking springs. It can only be heard when the air is off. Also there is a clicking noise in the front end at speeds above 90 MPH. Does anybody notice these noises?

I have the same issue with the seatbelt tensioner noise...it is really annoying. Can someone tell me if they managed to fix it and how? Thanks.

Mega, there is a fix for the "rattle" that comes from the seatblelt tensioner. I went in for an oil change and mentioned it. The service dept said that they knew it was a problem on some of the S40's. It comes from the bar that runs across the back bottom of the seat. It is the bolt that attaches to the bar.

Side note...it turned out mine was not the seatbelt tensioner. They had to pull the entire seat to replace (1) one washer that was causing the rattle. Either way, you should be able to get it fixed.

Now the car is Quiet and smooth...no problems. :sunce:

Ours has had nothing but problems too and I think the service department is fed up with me and I've had it with them. We have had to replace the ignition switch twice had the A/C worked on once not to mention various other radio/Cd player issues with the "premium" sounds sytem.
