Hi Everyone i'm new, Just bought myself a Volvo S40 and was wondering when the timing belt should be changed, so far the car has 46,000miles on the clock.

check your history if you have any, but i always say it's best to replace the timing belt if you have any doubts. you don't want it to go! check it for cracks and splits, as well as tension. get a manual if you feel able to change it yourself.

According to the manual, timing belt should be replaced every 105,000 miles or 168,000 kms.
