Hi,there.My 740 volvo busted its transmission cooler,result milkshake in transmission.Do not wish repeat performance on my 1998 v70,has anyone fitted a seperate transmission cooler to these cars,that is not plumbed into existing cooler,my only concerns are sufficient cooling using this method.btw 740 flushed,pan and filter cleaned,so far so good.Car has done 280k,Regards Colin

That really wasn't as big of a problem on the newer cars like on the older cars.I don't think it will happen with the V70.But I cant say for sure.

There should be a yellow dipstick towards the front of the car on the drivers side.Make sure the car is running when you check the fluid level.
