Hi,

I have used VADIS for several years to get maintenance data on my various Volvos and now have a fault code reader (£15 off ebay) to assist in diagnosis.

However it would be alot easier to plug my laptop into the car. Does any one know how to make up a lead to connect OBD2 to USB or serial ports.

Ta.

Nigel

I would think it would be easier just to buy one.

The site is doing system maintenance til 23:30 GMT

Just ordered one from Ebay, sellers name is szhid. Sells many different cables for different types of cars with the software. Cost with shipping was 48 US. Gonna give it a try, I'll update post with a review.

Just bought the cable to have. I have not had an opportunity to use it since the car has been running well. The only concern for some users is the software seems to be geared towards 99 and older Volvo models.
