Hey all. The light under the P, R , D etc on the shifter is out. I have somewhat looked around and tried to figure out how to take out the middle console but would feel safer if I had some kind of guide or suggestions from experienced volvolovers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Open the center console and empty it.Then look and you will see a cover that you need to pul out.Stick a little screwdriver in the slot and pull up to release the cover.Under the cover is 2 screws with 8MM heads on them remove the 2 screws.Then with the lid still open pull on the e-brake boot and plastic trim towards the drivers side to remove it.Then you will see 2 white pulgs that need to be unplugged.Then lift up on the rear of the console after putting the shifter in D or low.Once you have lifted up on the console then start to pull towards the rear of the car and it will release.If you have anymore trouble let me know.
