My old one 1989 745 had 510'000km. Runned nice, but then, someone smashed all glasses. Now i have a 760 Turbo Intercooler from 1989 with 310'000 km.

I've got 305,989miles on my dear old 740gl wagon. I'm told that I should work as a Volvo salesperson because I'm always talking up the 240 and 740 series...
What people don't realize is that they don't make them like they used to!!! |

I've got a little over 281,000km on mine, and it's so awesome. I love my volvo, I see these modded japanese cars on the streets and I just laugh. Volvos present such class and equisite engineering, and are the ultimate sleeper car. Those gawdy japanese tuners are just so ridiculous looking...most of the times. *sigh* I love my car :)

hi,
Bought my 1990 740 in May 2007 with 360,000 on the clock, added about 4k since then. Bought another 1992 940 in May 2008 with 286,000 on it, unfortunately the meter is currently stuck. Judging by the gas consumption, must've put in another 2k. I could be wrong though. All original wheel caps are kept at home, too many stories of nick-ings. Gonna switch to alloys soon. :beer:
