Hello again fellow Volvo'ers. This next question I have has to do with some whining coming from the passenger side of the dash. This did not happen when I first got the car, and just FYI the A/C hasn't worked in like forever. And the sound happens regardless of the inside climate control unit being set to hot or cold.

With that being said: When I start up the car sometimes (more often when it's cold started), I will hear some whining after turning on the car. I notice it happens with the peripherals turn on (I know this because I have a small tweak with my ignition where I pull it back just a slight bit counter clock wise to turn them on - and that's when the noise starts).

Usually within a few minutes the sound will go away, but not before getting louder at first. Turning on the air for 10 seconds speeds up it's cycle.

My question is: does anyone know what might be the source of this noise? I assume it has to do with the A/C and some vacuum hose.
