I just read on another thread that some one else has experienced the radio suddenly dying without warning and needing to be switched off for 1/2-hour or so to "reboot".

I've had my V50 D5 for a month and experienced this once so far. Dealer denies any known fault. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have had similar issue. Also, when the scan for certain channel style (PPT I think) is on, sometimes, I cannot change the station. It is does change, nothing plays, just dead air. When I take off the PTT (again, I am probably using the wrong symbols here), everything is fine.

Hi Yes I have had this in fact the only way I find to make sure it reboots is to remove the fuse and replace which works fine

I had the same issue with my 2006 V50. The dealership replaced the "infotainment" module under warrenty. It now works fine. It took 3 or 4 weeks to get the part in however.
