My mom just purchased a new 2007 S80 with the Volvo Nav system. I use a Garmin nuvi 680 in my XC90 and S80. The Garmin chimes in "recalculating!" when I make a wrong turn (or ignore the guidance) and reprograms the route to get me where I programmed it to go based on my new location in real-time. The Volvo Nav goes silent and seems to stop guidance until you get back on the road you were told to travel.

Any ideas? Is there an option to "recalculate" that I'm not setting?

Also, is there a way to enter an address and just go right to store it? I want to save a number of addresses for my mom to use in the future - not in an itinerary.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!! This system is neater (no dangling wires and stereo integration) but definitely not as intuitive and easy to use as the Garmin nuvi.
