:cat: Kia Ora Richard.

:00000732: to Volvo forums.

:liebe011: for joining us.

You'll get plenty of responses to your question as other members read your request.

Have you tried Archibald and Shorter? They are the Volvo agents in Green Lane and Parnell. Scandinavian Motors was taken over.

Where in NZ are you living?

Cheers :right:

:cat: Hi there dicko1.

Last Saturday of every month-Auckland Branch Volvo Enthusiasts Club meet at the Longford Retirement Village in Takanini.

Front up about 9.45am at the front gate-you should see a few Volvo's there. Make yourself known.

Cheers :right:

Hi: here is a site with just about every Volvo owner's manual for download by model and year. Yes, they do have 2001 S40. No repair manual, however.

http://www.analogstereo.com/volvo_owners_manual.htm

So you have a Japanese version, eh? That's interesting. Can you post a couple pages?

I believe the light is an automatic servicing light that comes on when its time (according to the manufacturer) for routine maintenance. Does it go off after driving for a few minutes? If so it can be ignored, provided you service it regularly. If your worried take it to a mechanic who will reset it until the next servicing period arrives - or advise you what the problem could be.

PS I got an Owners Manual for my S70 on eBay for $8US. Just do an eBay search and see what pops up.
