Drives: 1998 Volvo S40CD
I have a 1998 S40 which I like very much except for the clunky ride - doesn't like uneven roads. I have read that the S40 up 2000 suffered from a poor ride and handling (Top gear Maagazine). If it is that the newer shock absorber is better does the newer S40 shocker fit the 1998 series?

I believe up to early 2004 is the same rear suspension.The 2004 1/2 is a totaly diffrent suspension.
