Hello all,
I have a 95 960 sedan and I'm reading a faulty front o2 sensor on the diagnostic computer. I don't want to spend $160 on an OEM sensor so I have been looking for universal models. I have narrowed it down to either a 3 wire or 4 wire model. I was wondering if there was any quick way to determine which sensor I would need without pulling the old one out.

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

You can tell where it plugs in how many wires.

Anybody have any idea where the o2 sensor plugs in under the hood? I'm hoping i can figure out which one i need without putting the car up and going underneath.

if you feel under the exhaust manifold (with a cold engine) you should be able to feel where the sensor comes out (on my 1991 940 turbo its about a foot along the exhaust from the manifold) you will then be able to track the cables by feel, from memory it connects on mine at the back end of the engine bay, up near the top almost on the engine firewall just behind the engine.
