Hi,

I drive a 2004 S40 2.4i, and as much as I love the car, I just hate the cupholders in the center console, and would do almost anything to either get rid of them, or at least to hide them! I have noticed that the C70 cabriolet has a similiar (identcal?) looking console, yet has a sliding lid that covers the cupholders.

Is it possible to replace the cupholders in my car with those from the C70?

Don't see why not. Dispite the higher price their interiors are almost exaclty the same.

yes it is possible, i junked my cup holders they will just come out if you lever them

why would you hate the cup holders? they're useful, not in the way, also look pretty neat.

I was able to pop mine out in the 07 model and make it an ipod cradle. I use the rear seat cup holders when i have drinks.
