Did you replace them with new injectors or used ones?
Did you replace a few or all at once?

the thing that keeps oil in the crankcase is called an oil control ring which goes around the piston

however in modern cars these do not tend to fail or wear excessively even after long miles [like half a million in my old engine] BUT previous owner may have done damage by low oil etc

anyway the test is to cruise down a long hill and plant foot at the bottom and see if clouds of smoke come out

as for turbos I have no smarts at all

Then the parts should have a 12 month 12,000 miles warranty and you should be another set for free.

The repair should be free if the injectors are leaking again.

Hello everyone,

Discovered yesterday a similar problem with my 1999 V40 T4. It smokes only after letting off lightly on the throttle then throttling-up when passing on the freeway on an uphill. Lets out a pretty good cloud of light-colored smoke, which may be oil, or may be unburnt fuel. Fuel consumption is OK, oil consumption has always been about a litre per 5000km. Oddly enough not able to get the car to smoke around town, or even when flogging it up Mt. Ventoux yesterday (1912m hillclimb). It only puffs when going uphill at around 3400rpm, and when just throttling-back, then throttling-up to pass. Odd, to say the least. Will check the plugs this weekend to see their state. Normally nice and clean looking. No loss of power, or odd sounds, or temp changes. Thoughts are that something in the ECU or turbo are causing this issue; too much fuel, overboost, or oil leak in the turbo.

Cheers,

Steve

Could very well be oil in the turbo. The turbo might be on its way out.

Hi Alex,

Looks like my problem is simply (and definitely) too much fuel being dumped into the system, not oil or water. Most likely one of the sensors in the system not working properly. Still debugging on this end. Not a huge worry, as the car works just fine, albeit smoking in certain conditions. Will keep posting any new developments.

Cheers,

Steve

I would say bad turbo. Also look at the thermostat for the overheating problem.
