Hello,..I'm a newbie here and also a newbie to the Volvo scene. Just recently acquired an 01 C70 convertible. It had a hole in the passenger side headlight lens and after purchasing a new lens,...I see that it is seemingly IMPOSSIBLE to simply change this out. I cannot for the life of me see where I can get to the bottom few clips without taking the whole bumper off. (I'm NOT going to do that just for a lens!!) Ialso realize that finding a repair book for the 01 C70 is about equally impossible too! Can somebody out there guide me through this? I found a photo that shows taking off the wiper by the headlight to access a cover strip thus exposing the clamps. This is not valid for my 01 as the bumper is all one piece and there is no strip behind the wiper. The headlight is seated in this one piece bumper. I think I need to get the whole headlight out to access the bottom clips. The book for the car shows a metal clamp that I need to depress with a screwdriver to allow the headlight to be freed. Again,..there is no metal tab or clip that I can see that matches the photo.

Anyone? Thanks for helping someone who apparently is struggling with the simplest of tasks!!!

HI, i have 98 C70 and ran into a deer which knocked out my driver side headlight and turn signal you are gonna have to take the whole headlight not completely out but just enough so you can get to bottom and the side clamps i don't think the 01 is much different from my 98 there are 3 screws you will need to loosen two are on one side of the headlight in the back just on top and bottom of each other 1 screw on the other side like you i just need to replace the lens and not the whole headlight assembly which runs about 300 plus make sure all your clamps SNAP ON to keep the lens tight and from moving hope i've been some help to you.
