I've just bought a Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth handsfree kit for my V50 1.8 S (2005 with standard audio), together with the Autoleads SOT-048 adapter kit which I was told I would need. I phoned up Volvo to get them to tell me how to get to the radio, which they did, and there is nothing which remotely resembles the connectors on my leads - just a little fibre optic connector. I subsequently removed the whole glove compartment unit in search of the right connector, and found nothing like it. The only thing which is the right size is down near the gearstick, but only has 4 wires coming out of it, so I wasn't sure this was the right thing.

Has anyone had similar problems? Can anyone give me some advice on what to do?

I had a similar problem trying to install my existing Motorola IHF1000 (What Volvo sells as their factory kit) in my V50. The harness for the mute relay was available from the dealer, but the connector that actually connects to the bluetooth module is only available in the kit. I ended up downloading the wiring diagrams from Volvo and hardwiring my existing Motorola harness to the mute relay harness. I don't know how the Parrot installs, but sounds like possibly the same situation. You should try searching the forums at www.swedespeed.com, there have been several posts from people that have successfully installed Parrot systems in their Volvo's.
