Hi
I have a 1992 940 se turbo diesel. I can't find a dipstick for the engine oil. My local Volvo specialist has seen one or two like this. Did Volvo use a lot of engines without dipsticks? How are you meant to check the oil level?

I know that for my 960 finding the transmission oil dipstick is hard but its in the lower part of the engine seems like theres no stick but you pull the clip off and a small stick comes out.

My friend says that the trans on his 960 is 'sealed' (no dipstick). He seems to think that they used synthetic oil from the factory and don't want anyone 'messing' with it.
