My beautiful '77 264 GL threw the fan clutch this week. Fortunately the motor wasn't damaged. But I'm having a devil of a time getting a fan clutch assembly. I found the aftermarket fan clutch, but it comes without blades and it seems blades for this blasted clutch are no longer available. This clutch is the "friction-type" which presses onto the water pump pulley as opposed to bolting on.

However, I did find a description for '69-'74 140 blades that look just like my original fan clutch/blade assembly.

Question: anybody ever go through this ordeal before, and what did you do? Is there a clutch/blade from another Volvo that will fit the 264? Or can you modify your 264 to be compatible with the thermal clutch that bolts on?
