I'd like to change my factory stereo to a Pioneer DEH-P680MP. I've searched through the forums, but there was no specific answer.
My question is:
Is it possible to upgrade to the new deck, while keeping the factory Navigation system operational??
Will it give me problems due to the fact that the navigation system uses the factory speakers for its own sound?

Any help or opinions will be extremely valuable. :liebe011:

The only thing i would be curious to is if the nav system is just running tot he centre channel cpeaker or all of them. I woulld look at the wiring harness to see to see how the nav is wired to the speakers. If the nav system runs to jsut the centre channel shouldnt be a problem since when you put in a norma l deck you wont use the centre channe usless you hook up another amp for it. I really cant see a problem with putting in another deck since ive seen it numerious times in other cars.

That kinda answers my question, but not completely... :57:
Has anyone done an aftermarket radio instalation on a S60 with factory navigation??? If so, please explain me the following please....
If I remove the factory headunit will the navigation system still be operational or is it dependent of the factory unit???
Where can i get the radio wiring harness that will plug into an aftermarket system??
I upgraded the audio system by installing a Amp/Subwoofer combo feeding off the rear speakers, but the real problem now is that i've just moved to Europe from Canada and the radio FM frequencies are still in north american tuning... Is there a way to change it to European standard without having to run to the dealership???
If it requires a trip to the "stealership" and the aftermarket audio installation is possible I'd rather install a nice in-dash screen, but still keep the factory navigation....
Any help is deeply appreciated.... :liebe011:
