I was following my wife today in her 05 and I noticed that when she hit her brakes the long narrow tail lights that run down the sides of the rear window did not come on. the light on the tail light cluster plus the one light on the top of the rear window came on but I can't get these long lights to come on in any situation. I checked for error messages but have non. can anyone tell me when these things are supposed to be on?

I may be wrong but I am under the impression that only one of these lights will come on and it is when you use the rear fog light option. They are supposedly super bright and to be used in foggy or other low visibilty conditions. But again it said that only one will light up.

I may be wrong but that is what I understood from the owners manual.

They don't come on in any situation (there is no globes there) it's only a styling thing, the rear fog lamp is in one of the red lenses that's in the rear bumper.
