I have a smell of rotten eggs or stagnent water in the car on start up and then intermittently when driving. The dealership have replaced a condensor in the air con but it is still doing it. Goes in again this friday for another go at it. Has anyone suffered this before??

It sounds like the cabin air filter is damp - try leaving the fan on full draw through for a while and leave the windows open in order to dry it out.

yeah, started as a screenwaspe smell then damp mouldy field smell.

condensor changed, "bomb" used and new filters. dont smell now just have mauled dash due to a poor dealer.

I've had this fault in many cars - all it is, is bacteria in the air pipes from the matrix. it is normally from the having the air con on a lot. It can be helped by having it on fresh air rather than recirculate.
But to get rid of the smell initially you need to buy a can of air con cleaner it comes with a long tube (2ft) so it can be thread down the air outlets and it contains a disinfectant like substance that neutrailises the bacteria and then smells fresh again.
